Deck the halls; light the menorah; get time off work. It’s time for togetherness and warm fuzzies, food, drink and charity, hugs and singalongs. Feel the love.
It’s not always like that, of course. We’re stressed about money and the right gifts, or obliged to see family we might not adore. Or maybe we’re alone. And everyone else seems so freakin’ happy.
How to get through it?
My big insight is that we tend to have less patience with our loved ones than we do with complete strangers. I know sometimes there are real reasons for this, but the offending behaviour is often so minor: Mom gives a look or makes one of her comments about your weight/wife/cooking and, next thing you know, blind rage.
We could all learn to be more indulgent of those we’re close to. Just saying.

Care este spatiul privat la locul de munca? Nu te gandi la birou. Mai degraba toaleta. In pauza de masa poti merge in masina ta, dar atunci te mai afli la locul de munca?
Locul care nu inspira de nicio culoare siguranta este computerul de la birou. De ce? Angajatorul poate monitoriza orice e-mail trimis de la contul companiei datorita unui echipament. Nici e-mailurile trimise de pe contul personal nu sunt in siguranta atat timp cat sunt trimise prin intermediul unui echipament tehnologic al companiei si prin infrastructura acesteia.
Dar depinde totusi de la caz la caz. Insa, angajatorii nu monitorizeaza niciodata e-mailurile pentru a descoper noi barfe despre viata ta personala, ci sunt alte trei motive pentru care o fac. Iata care sunt acestea:
1. Controlul calitatii (mai ales pentru noii angajati)
Nicole Wright, director executiv si fondator al Food Body M.E. sustine ca verifica in mod regulat mesajele primite.
"Monitorizez in special mesajele trimise catre cineva pentru controlul calitatii clientului, dar si cele primite pentru integritatea noului angajat pana ce increderea si munca etica vor fi stabilite", spune Wright.
De asemenea, acest lucru ajuta si la administrarea personalului, la prevenirea nemultumirii angajatilor si barfei.
Pe de alta parte, poate un lucru benefic pentru cresterea productivitatii daca se are in vedere faptul ca unii angajati se lupta cu carente in privinta locului de munca.
2. Cuvinte cheie
Multe departamente de IT au implementat un software care semnalizeaza cuvintele cheie nepotrivite.
"De obicei acestea sunt arme, rasism, sexism", spune Tom Armour, cofondator al High Return SelectionT.
Daca lucrezi intr-o companie in care primordiala este protejarea informatiilor, cel mai probabil vor fi imortalizate ceea ce se incarca si descarca, la fel de bine.
Acest lucru ajuta la protejarea impotriva hackerilor, virusilor, furtului de IP.
3. Daca esti obiectul unui plangeri...
...fii sigur ca vei fi monitorizat. Retine ca daca folosesti un echipament al companiei, reteaua de internet si e-mailul pentru uz personal, atunci informatiile tale nu mai sunt confidentiale. Numai in cazul in care folosesti smartphone-ul personal, laptopul sau tableta.
Angajatii care descarca aplicatii bancare personale, aplicatii de investitii si altele care detin date confidentiale ar trebui sa fie atenti la vulnerabilitate.
Pe de alta parte, angajatorii nu se vor sfii sa verifice arhivele tale pentru a vedea daca exista o problema deosebita cu tine, cum ar fi:
- reziliere a creantelor
- reclamatii ale clientilor cu privire la comportament neadecvat
- la cererea organelor institutionale
- ca raspuns la cererea altor companii care sustin ca unul dintre angajatii companiei a trimis continut neadecvat celorlalti.
Legea confidentialitatii care se refera la mesajele de tip e-mail si la munca este inca in evolutie. Uneori functioneaza in beneficiul angajatului, alteori in cel al angajatorilor.
