Unthinking & Unbeing by Nicole Wright

AUTHORS NOTE:

I wrote this while I was in Walnut Creek, on a 1.5 year project, where I was helping Real Estate Agents & Automotive Dealerships, automate their marketing, improve leads, and increase their annual revenues. I was also consulting on top of the W2 position, for the same company, in Sales Management & Reporting Automation. I admired the CEO of the company that I worked for, as well as my mentor, Andre, who I adore. He is a talented and wonderful human.

There were some "problems" that began appearing in Walnut Creek, that were coming from a specific subset of individuals. The people, were committing a cluster of crimes, and had the same mentality that is highly abnormal and damaging. They surprised me. I was also surprised, that others, just allowed it to happen; especially when it was so wrong.

I continued studying why people do what they do, and began researching this rare subset that were presenting themselves. Over time, I've discovered that they are a fringe group and in the minority, even if they're global. Their behaviors are in alignment with anti-social features. Their thought processes are collections of clinical "Thinking Errors". Their commitment to what they believe in, meets the legal definitions of "cult". They did not state the organization they belong with.

Over time, members have said they are an NGO involved in trafficking. They believe, that certain people, can be bought, and that certain people, are for sale. They also believe, in their "doctrine", and in "holistic" wellness, which includes yoga, and health supplements. (Note to all: I personally have never used the word "holistic". I did find some fake profiles of me, using that word. I sent documents from The Secretary of State, requesting the fraud be taken down.)

For me, personally, I was most shaken, by the way they spoke about women. I have never heard anyone, speak to others in that way, nor divulge to others, about occurrences of that nature. Neither say those things about women; before in my entire life. I was shaken, that they lacked the emotional center in their brain, which we all feel in our hearts, and that they failed to think or feel, that anything they were talking about, was wrong.

They also lacked the social awareness, that what they were saying was wrong and inappropriate.

  • A person who might be hypo or hyper relative to social cues, might be ADD/ADHD (which is a gift, by the way; genetic ADHD are brilliant IQ 130+, gifted individuals).

  • A person who fails to grasp social cues, but does "get it", when you explain it to them in the way that they process and understand new information, they might be Asperger or ASD.

  • A person who fails to grasp social cues, and still doesn't "get-it" when it's explained; or by the push-back or reactions they're getting; those people, chunking-up, may be on the Anti-Social spectrum.

  • It's also possible, that those types of people, were raised in an environment, and/or still belong to one, where propaganda, rhetoric, and belief systems, as described on The Power Wheel (i.e. systems of manipulation, power, control, abuse), have been normalized.

    Normalization includes groups that are on the Federal Bureau of Investigation & Department of Homeland Security's Terrorist Watch List, whether they are International or Domestic. It includes various Jihad groups, like ISIS. Christian Fundamentalist extremism, like GAIA's Pagan NASA cult (non-state actors). It includes White Supremacy groups, and their subsets, like ALT-RIGHT, Pick-Up-Artists, Counter-Culture; and organizations like NXIVM + its offshoots. They also include groups such as Silk Road, Anonymous, NULL, Kiwi Farms, Solar Winds, and other Threat Actors.

The world, and people in general, operate on The Golden Rule, and the majority of people and religions, believe in eusocial values, and are globally accepted. Most people, are good.

It is fringe groups, non-state actors, etc., that are in the minority, and that constitute terror, abuse, violence, and violence against women.

The organization I was with, I admired the CEO, Payam Zamani, and I loved my boss and mentor, Andre Crisp. There were a handful of people, that came from outside the organization, then quickly left, who were preaching their propaganda, and speaking about violence against women; coming from both males, and females.

I was dumbfounded, hearing it. In shock, my jaw dropped, and I could not understand how they could, nor why they would, utter such things, nor utter them publicly, in the open. It seemed as though they had no awareness, of what they were actually saying, nor the implications of it. When you speak, you paint a picture. The picture they were painting, was of humans operating as robots, doing what they were paid to do, on a computer, so that they could go home and drink, and buy more drugs. And that women, were to be hunted, bought, and sold.

Regarding the fringe group I observed;
This poem is their beliefs. I disagree with them.

I believe in honest, ethical, law abiding corporations, that do good.
I believe in business and industry, that is prosocial & complimentary.
I am against all forms of manipulation, abuse, dishonesty, fear & terror.

I also only like real, healthy, people. This means, people who are born with empathy centers in their brain, and have spent their lives, honoring and cultivating it. Normal people, that fit into normal ranges, or gifted ranges.

All dysfunction, disorders, and abuse, are contained within systems. Healthy people & environments, they pretty much don't exist; not as in not-at-all; but the prevalence is either reduced or handled.

NOTE: These are the beliefs of the fringe group; I disagree with them.

UNTHINKING AND UNBEING

by Nicole Wright, 2005

The unintelligent meandering
Libretto, that is eaten up by the
Unconscious seeking, for blissful, brainless
Moments of unthinking and unbeing.

The same crippling effect of the thumb and
Finger match, that chains, Unrelenting and
Powerful, traveling through a thin, black
Cord that is plugged into a small, black box.

The altering effect of print pictures,
Gazed on enviously, bringing out the
Creation of desire; the will to
Throw away all but the emptiness of
Water, sucked down for dear life, as dear life
Is slowly, wistfully, slipping away.

The endless fascination with beauty,
Butts, breasts; long blonde hair and gay appeasing
Laugh that makes you sick, but is nonetheless
A sign that this being is not real and
Can be stripped and broken in pursuit of
Fulfilling temporary indulgence.

Ink sprinkling nonsense across expansive
White lined with blue; Rote language streaming the
Minimal and same to be passed along
To one more who stares at their gray confines

With the flickering plasma screen, plastic,
Lifeless connect; not breathing, not seeing,
Only waiting for hand to reach its mark;
Believing this should be the way it is.

Carbon dioxide emissions ignored
While thirsty cisterns beg for more, and heat
Incessantly rises; what was fifteen
Now forty-five, while suited fat men laugh,

Counting their pennies that don't trickle down;
Watching stocks soar, donating to Powers
Who murder Panthers, Afghans, Iraqis;
Who withdrew the right to bear arms and took

Constitution from instruction; pleased by
Growing ignorance as rich privatize
And will continue voting in favor,
Because the rest, in happy daze, do not.

Call it: Land of the Free, Home of the Brave:
Eyes demand faith over intuition;
Happiness is bought, but never paid for;
Where fear is more motivating than love,

Breath rising and falling according to
Invisible strings lifting up, down, up;
Behaving exactly as instructed,
Thinking exactly as so requested;

Dreaming of another day, and dollar;
A white picket fence and a bank account
To be envied, while our credit card costs
Just a little more each passing month and
We haven't been taught to care, so we don't.

Funky Door [yoga], Polk Street San Francisco by Nicole Wright

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

I am turned-off by yoga. I, am hyper-flexible, and for my genes, cardio and strength training is the most supportive fit for me. I believe, to each his own, within the spectrum of that which is eusocial. I believe, in free will & free choice, combined with doing the right thing, because it's the right thing. This is how self-esteem, value, and knowing who you are, comes from. This is the basic precursor to health.

There is a slogan, "If you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him." This means, if anyone tells you "the right way" to do something, they are a false "prophet".

While in San Francisco, a small handful, of highly intelligent & educated, well adjusted, exceptionally fit therapists, who practiced yoga, interacted with me for business, and I appreciated them. Similar to the 80/20 rule of economics, they were in the rarer percentage. In San Francisco, swarms of individuals, came to my establishment, and wanted to practice their version of yoga. It was a rude awakening to me, when I asked for their credential (sometimes no), license (no), insurance (no), and their belief system, that the majority stated they were members of an organization, group, religion, or cult, and into fanaticism. I fail to know if this is the majority of yogis in general. All I know, is that from my personal data set, this was the majority of practitioners, who were self-proclaimed "prophets".

If you feel that you need help getting out of a group, reach out to expert Rick Alan Ross, or other professionals, for support. Organizations that abuse, are always multi-faceted, and therefore, it is a multi-system approach, to disengage. A licensed professional connected to non-profit resources, can provide the well-rounded support, and exit-plan, you'll need, in addition to legal help.

The following, is a short comedy, in poetry form, of my experience participating in a Bikram Yoga class.

FUNKY DOOR YOGA
POLK STREET SAN FRANCISCO

by Nicole Wright, 2000

The room, filled with people, allowed
No window-side sanctuary.
It's warmer than I thought it'd be.
His voice, creating the ambiance:
Loud, clear, repetitive, instructing,
Non-stopping, reminding, focusing.
This was not to be mind, body, soul
Centering meditation. This was
Surely intended as a workout.

My purple mat placed snugly next to
The mirror. My white towel, followed
Suit over my mat. His black, hardened
Body, clothed only by an even
Darker speedo; as he instructed,
Standing on his small, tiered podium.
The air, circulating and hot
Around the room, traced the dripping
Bodies of the men and women.

Our arms, raised and clasped, stretched and taut.
Legs straight and un-bending. Torsos
Lowering forward. The towels
And the carpet absorbing the sweat
That streamed off our lithe bodies. Sixty
Seconds. First set. Thirty. Second set.
I am going to die. I do not
Have the energy for this right now.
Right side. Left side. Upper body first.

Lower body next. Then another
Set. All over again. Remember,
Remember, remember. Directing
Of his voice not ending; constantly
Reminding of another muscle
To control. This: not to be conscious,
Nor to be aware. This: to work
Every single miniscule
Muscle of my unchallenged frame.

Breathe. Breath. Nicole, remember to
Breathe. The dizziness passes as
Consistent breathing has commenced.
Deep breaths. Eagle Pose. Triangle Pose.
All other forms are new and advanced.
Maybe if I had gone gone to class a
Little more, this might not be so hard.
My gray shirt is now black with sweat. Hold.
Sixty seconds. Hold. Thirty seconds.

Finally, Namaste.
Thank you God.
The congratulating clasp of palms
Fills the room in response to his voice.
Clean and sober now for two years. Out
Of jail now for two years. Counseling
Is so expensive. His advice
Is free. Only the cost of the
Lesson held at the Funky Door.

I wrap up my purple mat. The
Odwalla Spring Water touches
My parched lips and replenishes
My dehydrated body. I don't
Feel great just yet; I am exhausted.
I exit the hot room, instantly
Appreciative of the cool hall.
Breathe in, out.
It's a beautiful day!

SAFETY NOTE: This poem is the relaying of one experience, plus the beliefs of the instructor regarding counselling. I personally, have had training in Applied Behavior Analysis, and hold a Master's Diploma in Therapy.

I practice financial reporting, as my career since 2000; not therapy. My Diploma does legally allow me (technically) to provide Complimentary & Alternative Therapy Consulting, in a specific modality, in some states, but that is not the reason why I studied what I did. I am into corporations with heart, and healthy growth. I studied therapy, because all business problems are people problems, and humans with habitual problems, either cannot or have not, taken a step back to look at the contributing factors. I wanted to learn more about patterns, and language strategies, that positively supported relationships, change work, and excellence in performance.

Therapists who actually have practices; they have earned their Bachelors + Master's + License. They have undergone extensive internships under licensed practitioners who hold Master's or Doctorates. The training is lengthy, intensive, and regulated, for a reason.

The Yoga Instructor's advice, is unethical. It is also either unlawful in the State of California, or a "grey area", depending on the structures, execution, and results. It is most certainly questionable marketing, using his employers hard-earned clients (violation of solicitation clauses and possibly non-compete); as well as intentional manipulation using "power of suggestion", "social proof", "herd mentality", and targeting to prey on those who either do not know they have a plethora of options available to receive therapy, or think that they cannot afford it whether they are insured or not; whether they have income or not.

It is illegal & unethical, to perform therapy, without a certificate or license (which is going to depend on the modality & state), and without being BOTH registered and insured.

If you need help, in the USA, call 2-1-1. There are many organizations set-up that offer sliding-scale and no-fee therapy, to clients, provided by LICENSED professionals.
