Art, Ojibwe, Purple Valley

August 2010, internationally acclaimed Dr. Marlene Mulder, had a session with me when I was earning my Masters. She said to me, "You know, your parents aren't your parents." I was non verbal. My ADHD brain (a gift - the prefrontal cortex is 3-4% smaller which allows for faster neuron firing) instantly connected dozens of old memories and close to half a dozen doctors, that had told me the same thing, repeatedly, post 1985. They didn't know why my family refused to talk publicly about my adoption. I knew though. Louise frightened me into silence. And my adopted mom was sweet, and asked me to keep quiet for "the family".Dr. Mulder asked me where I was from, before "all of that happened". I answered Purple Planet, which was combining two thoughts: Little Prince & Purple Valley.


I remember my dad, Art, before 1985. It took more work to access memories of my mom, as there wasn't the same connection. I found her recently; part Ojibwe. And Uncle Mervin, I used to talk about him with therapist Ronda in Santa Cruz.

Since the evening of 7/17/12, I've wanted to go "home", where "home" means: near Purple Valley. I was too little when I left, to know how to get back.

I have traveled since 7/03/13, for a decade, trying to find geography that was familiar, so I could figure out where Purple Valley was. Turns out I didn't need all that; although it was in part, helpful. I simply needed to look at my gene tests, and go into meditative state, and assimilate all the pieces of old facts, as one body of data (instead of separate). It's easier to sort, align, and see how it relates, when it's all together.

The subconscious mind is powerful. Feed your body and brain good things. Physical exercise strengthens the pre frontal cortex and protects against deterioration. Meditation and relaxed states open us up, and can be precursors for greater access, and greater genius. Or at the very least, when we're more relaxed, we feel better.

Choose high dose nutrients/nutrition, a physical health practice that works for you and is sustainable, meditation or other relaxing activities to get into theta states, and surround yourself with good people, who are smarter than you. You're worth it.
