A couple years ago a farm owner said he wanted to explore the possibility of me being his CFO. I told him that I was close to those qualifications for companies under a certain size, but that I didn't have all the typical reqs. He said he didn't care. We interviewed.What he didn't know I have, is a master's in therapy, training in lie detection, micro-expressions, behaviorism, abnormal psychology, linguistics, military level for civilians self-defense and an entire lifetime of being around government employees and CEO's.
I also, intentionally overpaid for cosmetic dermatological treatments, due to a gene condition, vanity, and to win in M&A. If people think you're younger, they'll treat you like the age they think you are, and ignore your experience.
I went through my standard due diligence questions and right off the bat, he was both lying to me and over confident, which are potential indicators of NPD.
I ended up finding out that he is illegaly prescribing without a medical license, trafficking drugs through his "organic farm", and making side money consulting for a Zero Day Exploit Threat Acting Group. He was also cheating on his fiance and hit on me (gross!).
Please keep things honest and professional everyone. Small business deserves to be profitable and I believe criminals hurt everyone. They have thinking errors and malformations in their brain areas. Crime is expensive. Being upstanding and prosocial helps us all.
