How do you make decisions?

How do you make decisions?

I understood VC's decision making. I can understand Engineer's; I'm wired differently, but they'll chain & sequence, if you will give them respect, or compassionate ear, they'll walk you through their process. I value that.

As a consultant, my decisions for me are specific. Working on assignments, I don't want to accept unless it fits into the bigger picture. And then:
* I call a law firm to advise me.
* I want to know what I haven't considered.
* I want to know what am I liable for; the risks.

Most cases, Attorney's suggest to wait to end of report; not file with gov for smaller pieces along the way.

I can't always do that. Life happens in real time. By the time it's over, I've boxed it up & "forget" about it. I.e. Move it from working memory to archives.

I refuse to participate w/anyone who lies, and to me this is why I earned Master's the way I did & added micro-expressions. I believe individuals who engage in gross behaviors, at least in case work since 2020, 25% of Americans that have brain structures related to pre-frontal cortex, anger, empathy; wired to commit fraud & harm.

If a child is being harmed, my lawyers explained the differences when I'm a mandated reporter or not. I will always make a tip, at the very lease as a concerned citizen.

If any individual is being harmed, I will make a tip if the suspicion can be backed by reasonable evidence or testimony. At times attorneys or State Investigators asked me not to. When State asked me, I did what they said. When Attorney's advised, I did what was human - which is to make report. I cannot sleep at night if I know something & didn't say something.

How can I hold integrity & look into my future daughter's eyes, if I knew serious harm or fraud was being done & said nothing?

Athletes win by training & listening to their coach. Entrepreneurs win by continuing in their education & having advisors & mentors they trust. Over time, they keep on getting better through experience. Individuals "win" in life w/self-care, boundaries, balance. People "win" integrity by being congruent w/in themselves & doing what they know to be right, inside. Inner & Outer matches.

What are your ethics test?

How do you make decisions?
(What's the last expensive thing you bought & loved? What was your process from thought to purchase?)

What are your processes to ensure success, fail-safe from burn-out or other harm, maintain your integrity so that you feel good about decisions made?

(Anything a person does that they know is wrong, it eats them up inside, in small or big ways, over time.)
(For example, I posted before about a woman at work who was crying. Her boyfriend flipped flopped from love to harassment after he cheated. She knew how to tell, but wasn't applying it to him until I gave her a suggestion that fit into her Internal representation. He was cheating, because that is who he is an what he does. He attacked her after, to offload his cognitive dissonance.)
