Brain Wave Frequencies:
DELTA (0.1 to 3.5 Hz) The lowest frequencies are delta.
THETA (4-8 Hz) The next brainwave is theta.
ALPHA (8-12 Hz)
BETA (above 12 Hz)
GAMMA (above 30 Hz)
I'm a researcher. I find and report things. This is Alpha.
That translates to my career work as a Financial Contoller & Tax Accounting - now doing taxes for H&R Block. I also do forensics and have reported fraud to government since my career inception. I function the best, in Alpha States. I cannot do my work, well, in Beta. I also cannot have meetings, well, in Alpha.
Beta States, which are generally required for social interaction, are unnatural for me. When I used to public speak, which I love very much, people didn't get, that I was generally more introverted than extroverted, as they perceived me to be confident and engaged, on stage. Being that way, is simply a derivative, of expert consulting. Knowing what I know, in niche areas, and being excited about communicating it with a group of people.
Being introverted/extroverted, sometimes, has nothing to do with other people (in general, not specifically), but instead, can be about the optimium HZ for our brain's functioning. Beta is adaptive, and wears me out. Alpha is my sweet spot. Theta is where I go to dream, imagine, and recharge.
What do you like? Where do you go?
