So... I was doing my physical safety checks, Halloween 2022. I had taken military level self-defense training for civilians, in 2016 in Virginia, by a former Golden Seal. Most women in attendance seemed to work in courts or education. I took the class, as a former CEO, who traveled frequently, as part of Threat Assessments, for me & work. The instructor looked me up. He said I was famous. I looked at him. Companies were significant, not me. I'm just a girl, like anyone else.He asked me why I signed up & why I didn't have a security team. I do have confidentiality protection from CA SOS SAH. I'd been advised that I needed security before. There are a lot of things & I'll leave it there, for now. I do travel w/various security methods.
Around Halloween, I was checking for bugs; I found some. I was trying to figure out the risk, if I needed to call for help, contact building owner, or law enforcement. I kept staring, WILLING for there to be a way, to see an easy solution. Then I saw it. A thick copper wire. I attempted to disconnect it. There was smoke. I panicked. "Am I fully insured?" was my first thought. "I am not Macgyver." was my second. There was a loud sound. Then I woke up, on the floor.
I had a ginormous bruise. An entry spot, small bruise on chest where my metal tool was, and exit, a huge mark on arm, which may have been from what I hit on the way down.
(I spoke to the owner later; he said what I saw, he had NOT installed, so I was within my capacity, to disconnect it. The power source it was plugged into, was old, strong, not up to code.)
I went into a short-term assignment later that week & everything I'd been assessing for the prior month, assimilated differently to me. I was able to cut through all the chase & ask one directed question. The person, answered affirmatively. I was shocked. That is usually not the case, for this project. Something changed.
I went home & my research started shifting, and I started asking different questions, finding more targeted data, historic case convictions, which had been difficult for me to find before. I also started remembering more specific cases, from the past. I usually use my archives to remember, instead of working memory, as I like to maximize brain space, and resources.
Periodically since Halloween, I've been asking, "what shifted?". The absorption I've been experiencing, is common, at certain stages of learning, or at certain phases of the creative development process. Artists & Writers, know this. There was something slightly different about the tonality of it all though. It may be, from the electrical current. There is a slight degree in change, but in a good way.
(I've also been cleansing, so that is part of it. But the electric shock, would be the new element.)
